Travel App Tip: Google Trips

Google trips is a cool little semi-automated travel planner.  If you have gmail, it automatically creates trips in the app by pulling the hotel, flight, car rental reservations from your email and adding them to your trip (yeah, who needs privacy anyway?).  If for some reason your reservations/tickets aren't automatically added, you can still add them manually.  Having all your reservations and travel info in one place makes the app worth it alone.  But wait...there's more.  Want to know what museums are within walking distance? Or find the best tapas in Bogota? Done.

You can browse through all the recommended attractions, bars, restaurants, things to see, and things to do or just let it completely take over and plan a whole day for you.  It can automatically map out a half day or a full day with suggestions for things to see and do. Don’t like what you see? Tap the "magic wand" to see more nearby sights. Each tap of the wand gives you a fresh set of nearby attractions.

And if you think you'll have spotty internet on your travels, you can download the info relevant to your trip to your phone so you can access them any time (guides, maps, things to do, etc.).  So go to the app store and download Google Trips.  Thank us later ;)
